ReFuel Pgh

ReFuel Pgh is a new program of GTECH that reduces air and water pollution and keeps fuel investment in our region.
Waste cooking oil is a problem for our municipalities and our rivers. It clogs our pipes, causing ruptures and constricting our sewer system’s capacity during a storm event. Petroleum-diesel used in Pittsburgh is responsible for carcinogenic air pollution, climate change emissions and millions of dollars at leave our region and the country.
In partnership with Fossil Free Fuels, GTECH is transforming this economic and environmental liability into a diesel replacement that will support a youth entrepreneurship-training program.
ReFuel Pgh is just starting out, but you can get involved by donating your used cooking oil. You can find instructions on how to donate and a map to ReFuel’s first donation location, GTECH’s office, below.
